Accountant's Profile
Julia Leghorn is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified General Accountant and an active member of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Associations of BC and Canada. Julia is also registered tax preparer with the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) in the Unites States.
Julia’s accounting career began in 1992 when she started working as a cost accountant after graduation from college with a Diploma in accounting. In 1997 Julia received her Bachelor Degree in Economics with Major in Finance and Credit from St. Petersburg State University of Finance and Economics. Julia was licensed as an independent auditor in 1999. She received her designation in Canada in 2008.
During her accounting career Julia has worked in different accounting roles: in industry as a corporate controller and in public practice as a senior auditor and public practitioner. She opened her own accounting firm in 2009 in Cloverdale, BC.
With her vast experience of over twenty five years, Julia has been involved in a variety of different industries. Her experience is very versatile. Some industries she is very familiar with include:

- recycling and environmental services;
- retail and wholesale;
- e-commerce and international trade;
- wine distribution and wine making;
- tourism and hospitality;
- real-estate development;

- foreign investments.
As a tax accountant Julia specializes in non-resident and international taxation . She has been involved in the U.S. cross-border accounting and taxes for over twenty years. Julia is very much interested in recent developments and unique cases involving international tax matters. She is well-regarded among her colleagues and dedicated to maintain her expertise in this area of practice.
Julia has joined forces with her colleague and long-term friend Kate Amangoulova, CPA, CGA, CFE in 2016 and together they founded ALLEGRO TAX AND ACCOUNTING GROUP, LLP. She continues her practice as a partner of this award-winning firm in Langley, BC.
